Problems of Leadership Development in the Organization’s Management System

The article analyzes the issues of the problem of development of leadership and leadership potential of the organization, considers and describes the indicators of assessment and characteristics of leadership and leadership potential of organizations in various sectors of the national economy. During the study of this issue, studies were identified that focused on the development of leadership, its elements, methods for assessing and characterizing it. Currently, there is no definitive, standardized definition of leadership development. One of the key issues in leadership development is the distinction between leader development and leadership development. The long-term, multi-level, and group-based nature of leadership development is emphasized. The article examines the development of individual and collective leadership in an organization. Key tools for leadership development in an organization are identified and described. The most promising approaches to addressing the problem of leadership development are discussed.
