This article examines the astronomical and calendrical knowledge of the Kyrgyz people. It is noted that the calendrical knowledge of the Kyrgyz people has practical significance and is the result of many years of continuous observation of natural phenomena in the surrounding world. There is reason to conclude that the astronomical folk knowledge of the Kyrgyz people is a guide to understanding the nature and essence of the world.
