Historical Evolution of Kyrgyz-Indian Diplomatic Relations

The article comprehensively examines the history of formation and the dynamics of development of interstate relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of India from 1991 to 2024. Based on official documents and academic sources, the author analyzes the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations, the formation of the legal framework, and the key stages of trade, economic, military-technical, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation. Along with this, special attention is paid to India's geopolitical strategy in the Central Asian region, the role of the "Central Asia – India" dialogue, and multilateral diplomatic engagement within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). The study evaluates the promising areas of strategic partnership between the two states, their joint efforts in ensuring regional security, and the scientific and practical significance of elevating bilateral relations to a new level.
